
“First Meeting Held for the EU Project on Pesticide Reduction and Safe Food”

The opening meeting of the project titled “Raising Farmers’ Awareness on Reducing Pesticide Use and Alternative Control Methods for Environmental Sustainability; Safe Food for Consumers”, supported by the European Union and coordinated by Gaziantep University, was held on 20–21 November under the host institution, Gaziantep University. The Food and Feed Control Central Research Institute Directorate participated as a project partner, alongside Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) from Lithuania and the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest (USAMV) from Romania.
During the meeting, the project’s quality and dissemination plans were developed, discussions were held regarding upcoming activities, and it was decided that the next project meeting will be organized in May 2026 in Lithuania.
